Linconshire-Riverwoods, IL, Fire Protection District, recently took delivery of a pumper built on an HME SFO 96-inch cab with 12-inch raised roof and HME 1871 chassis with a HME Rapid Attack Truck (RAT) stainless steel body. The truck has a 130-inch wheelbase and 24-foot 7-inch overall length. It is powered by a Cummins ISL9 350 horsepower engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, t has a Waterous CSU 1,500 gpm single-stage pump, and a 500-gallon polypropylene water tank. Other equipment includes a Harrison 6,000-watt pto generator, Federal Signal SLR Signal Vision and Whelen warning lights.
