Fitchburg, Mass., Takes Delivery of Custom Pumper

The Fitchburg Fire Department has taken delivery of a KME Fire Apparatus custom pumper, built on a KME Panther cab and chassis.

The Fitchburg Fire Department has taken delivery of a KME Fire Apparatus custom pumper, built on a KME Panther cab and chassis.

It features dual power steering, automatic traction control, and a load managed 12-volt electrical system. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSU 1,750-gpm, single stage pump, a Waterous Advantus 3 Class A foam system, a 750-gallon water tank with a 20-gallon integrated foam cell.

Other features include Code 3 warning lights, Fire Research Corporation scene lights, a 12-gauge stainless steel body, and KME's "Lock & Load" treadplate hose bed cover.

It was sold by Bulldog Fire Apparatus, Woodville, Mass.
