Raytown, MO, Fire Protection District has received two identical Ferrara MVP rescue pumpers. Both units are built on Ferrara Cinder cabs and chassis, powered by Cummins ISL 450-hp engines and Allison 3000EVS transmissions. To fight fire, the pumpers have Hale 2,000-gpm single-stage pumps, 1,000-gallon UPF tanks, Fire Research Corp. internal pressure governors, and enclosed pump panels. Other equipment includes a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioning system, LED strip compartment lighting, slide-out tool trays and custom mechanics tool boxes.
The pumpers also have 200-foot Hannay electric reels, Genesis rescue tools, Little Giant ladders, Pioneer lights and Honda 6,500-watt generators.
Raytown, a Kansas City suburb, purchases the apparatus through Chris Thompson, Fire Master, Springfield, MO.
