The California Department of Corrections, in Imperial County, has taken delivery of an HME Ahrens-Fox rescue pumper.

The California Department of Corrections, in Imperial County, has taken delivery of an HME Ahrens-Fox rescue pumper. It's built on an SFO 96-inch custom chassis, powered by a Cummins ISL 9 370-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire it has a Hale Qflo 1,250-gpm pump and an 850-gallon UPF T-type tank.  it features a corrosion resistant HME stainless steel body, roll-up doors, and aluminum wheels to provide easy maintenance and long life. The storage area features ten adjustable, aluminum shelves allowing custom configuring of compartment storage. Also featured are three heavy-duty pullout trays that allow for easy tool access. other equipment includes a Honda EB2000i 2000w Super Quiet Light Weight generator.
