The Kinghtdale, NC, Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2018 Custom Fire Apparatus pumper.

The Kinghtdale, NC, Fire Department recently took delivery of a 2018 Custom Fire Apparatus pumper built on a Spartan MetroStar cab and chassis. The pumper is powered by a Cummins L9 450 hp and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. Other features include a concealed bolted construction aluminum body with a stainless steel subframe. It has a Waterous CS20 1,250-gpm pump, a 750-gallon tank with a 25-gallon foam cell, a Class 1 SmartFOAM System and a Fire Research Pump Boss. Other equipment includes a Harrison 6,000-watt hydraulic generator, and a Will-Burt Night Scan Chief light tower. To move traffic, it has a Federal Q mechanical and electronic sirens, Feniex Storm warning lights and Whelen warning lights.
