The Verona, PA, Volunteer Fire Company added more power to its fleet in February after receiving a new pumper from Toyne Fire Apparatus.

The Verona, PA, Volunteer Fire Company added more power to its fleet in February after receiving a new pumper from Toyne. The company built the pumper on a Spartan Metro Star MFD chassis with a 10-inch raised roof powered by a Cummins ISL 450 hp engine and an 3000EVS Allison transmission, It's equipped with a  Hale Qmax pump,750-gallon UPF tank, commanded by a Fire Research InControl 400 pressure governor. The apparatus also includes a Harrison 10,000-watt hydraulic generator and Elkhart Scorpion EXM monitor, and is outfitted with Fire Research telescoping and tripod lights. Verona is a borough in Allegheny County.
