The Germania Volunteer Hose Company of Duryea, Luzerne County, PA, recently put in service a 2018 E-ONE Typhoon pumper. It's built on a four-door cab and chassis with a 12-inch Vista roof with full-height rear doors.It has a severe-duty interior, 911 Seats, IMMI Smart Dock SCBA brakets, and seating for eight firefighters. It has a 450-hp Cummins L9 engine, an Allison 3000EVS automatic transmission and a Jacobs compression brake. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CSU 1,500-gpm single-stage pump, a 780-gallon UPF Poly Tank III tank, a Kussmaul auto-eject battery conditioner, R.O.M. roll-up doors, Hannay electric cord reels, Federal Signal warning lights and a Federal Signal Q2B mechanical siren.
