The Ashland, NH, Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom pumper built by Toyne on a Spartan Metro Star LFD cab and chassis.

The Ashland, NH, Fire Department has taken delivery of a custom pumper built by Toyne on a Spartan Metro Star LFD cab and chassis with a 10-inch raised roof. It is powered by a Cummins ISL9 450-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire it has a Waterous CSUC20 1,500-gpm pump and a UPF 1,000-gallon tank. It is also equipped with a Fire Research Throttle Excel, an Onan 8,000-watt hydraulic generator, a TFT monitor and Fire Research scene lights.
