Chatham Emergency Services placed a new HME Ahrens-Fox rescue pumper in service as Engine 5.

Chatham, GA, Emergency Services has put Engine 5, an HME Ahrens-Fox rescue pumper. It is built on an HME 1871 SFO cab and chassis, powered by a Cummins L9 engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CX 1,500-gpm pump, a Fire Research Corp pump control and pressure governor, a Trident air primer, and a 1,000-gallon water tank.
