Okla. Man Burned Fighting Fire With Garden Hose

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Firefighters said an Oklahoma City man burned himself while trying to save his home from going up in flames. The man who lives at a home near Southwest 24th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue said he was gone for a few days and when he returned home he saw flames in a utility room. Crews said the man tried to extinguish the fire with a garden hose. Firefighters said the man suffered burns on his arms and minor smoke inhalation.

The damage was contained to one room, firefighters said.
