NEW STANTON, Pa. --
A 15-year-old New Stanton junior firefighter faced arson and attempted homicide charges Monday.
State police said Jeffrey Hustek set his Westmore Avenue home on fire last Tuesday while his parents slept upstairs.
At some point, Hustek decided to awaken his mother and father and all three escaped the flames, authorities said.
Hustek is charged as an adult.
