RIVERSIDE, Mo. --
A suspected methamphetamine lab caused an explosion and fire Wednesday afternoon at a house in a wooded area in the Northland, police said.
Officers said a residence at Northwest Northwood Road and Northwest Merrimac Avenue caught fire.
NewsChopper 9's Johnny Rowlands reported that the fire destroyed the house and several vehicles that were parked nearby.
There are also concerns that a propane tank on the property could explode, officials said.
Several streets were roped off in the area while crews investigated.
Police said officers had been approaching the house when shots were fired. Police said a man ran out of the house and into the woods.
No injuries have been reported.
Officers said two men and a woman were taken into custody for questioning.
