MILFORD, Del. (AP) -- Two adult sons of Gov. Ruth Ann Minner were hospitalized Tuesday morning following a fire that destroyed the family towing business.

Gary and Wayne Ingram were treated for burns and smoke inhalation at Milford Memorial Hospital, said Minner spokesman Greg Patterson.

Patterson said the injuries were not life threatening.

The fire broke out about 11:30 p.m. at Roger Minner Towing, a business started by Minner and her late husband. Minner, who was re-elected to a second term last week, transferred ownership of the business when she became governor in 2000.

The Ingrams were trying to remove equipment from the building when they were injured, Patterson said. Firefighters from Milford and Houston fire companies worked for about an hour extinguish the fire.

Minner visited the scene with investigators from the state fire marshal's office Tuesday morning before heading to the hospital, Patterson said. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Patterson said the towing garage is situated at the rear of the farm tract on which Minner and her two sons live, and that they were able to see the fire from their homes.
