A woman and her infant grandson were seriously injured yesterday when fire roared through their Brooklyn apartment.
Cops said the blaze broke out shortly before 2 p.m. in the top-floor apartment of a three-story building at 567 Union St. in south Brooklyn.
Lika Nasser, 56, said she came out of the bathroom and saw the fire. She grabbed her 3-week-old grandson, Mirad, and rushed outside. Nasser suffered severe burns on her back, chest and hand, while the boy had severe burns over 16 percent of his body, including both sides of his face, fire officials said.
Mirad is in very critical condition at Staten Island University Hospital. His grandmother is in stable condition. Eight firefighters were injured, none seriously.
