Chief Hurt in N.H. Apparatus Rollover

Jan. 13, 2016
The fire chief was able crawl out of the overturned apparatus.

The sole occupant of an Effingham fire apparatus that rolled over Wednesday escaped with minor injuries.

Officials told WMUR that the apparatus hit a soft shoulder on Route 153 while it was going around a corner and struck a utility pole. The rig ended up rolling onto its roof.

The chief was able to crawl out of the rig and was taken to the hospital.
