Communities Chosen for Town/Gown Fire Safety Projects

Sponsored by Campus Firewatch, First Alert and the Michael H. Minger Foundation, the program teams up firefighters and students in 25 areas for home fire safety visits.

Twenty-five communities have been chosen for the 2019 Town/Gown Fire Safety Community Service Projects.

Sponsored by Campus Firewatch, as well as First Alert and the Michael H. Minger Foundation, the projects encourage firefighters and students to work together for home safety visits in their communities. Smoke alarms are installed during these visits, and students also learn more about fire safety.
