Apparatus Showcase: Glenview, Ill., Gets 105-Foot Aerial

The Glenview Fire Department received a 2013 Pierce Arrow XT Quint in 2013. The unit carries a full compliment of extrication equipment with two reels and Hurst high pressure cutters and spreaders mounted in the front bumper as well as standard truck and engine tools.

There is 450 gallon water tank with 40 gallons class B Foam and 10 gallons Class A foam with an Elkhart 125 GPM foam system connected to the front 1 3/4-inch preconnect. There are three preconnects over the pump house two - 1 3/4-inch and one - 2 1/2-inch. There are also 163 feet of ground ladders on board.
