Dallas Fire-Rescue has taken delivery of its very first 2018 Pierce Velocity pumper.

Dallas Fire-Rescue has taken delivery of its very first 2018 Pierce Velocity pumper. It is built on the Velocity 8410 chassis, with seating for five. It is powered by a Cummins X-15 505-hp engine and an Allison 4500EVS transmission To fight fire, it has a Waterous 1,500-gpm, two-stage pump and a 500-gallon water tank with a 30-gallon foam cell. It also has Dallas Fire-Rescue's first ever FRC pressure controller, HiViz scene lighting and headlights. It also has a Pierce’s Gold Leaf graphics package.
