The Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department has taken delivery of a Sutphen custom pumper on a Monarch Heavy-Duty chassis.

The Harwinton Volunteer Fire Department has taken delivery of a Sutphen custom pumper on a Monarch Heavy-Duty chassis with seating for six and a 10” half-raised roof.

The pumper is powered by a Cummins X12 500-HP engine with a Allison Gen 5, EVS4000 transmission.

The pump is a Hale QMAX 1,500-GPM single stage pump with a 1,000-gallon water tank and an Akron 125-GPM foam system with a 30-gallon foam cell.

The body is constructed of Huckbolted #304 stainless steel with ROM roll-up compartment doors and over 60 cubic feet of compartment space.
