Delivery: Cortland City, OH, Custom Pumper
The Cortland City Fire Department took delivery of this custom pumper built by Sutphen.
The rig is built on a Sutphen Monarch heavy-duty chassis with a four-seat, 73-inch cab with a 10-inch raised roof.
It is powered by a Cummins L9 450-hp engine with an Allison Gen 5 EVS3000 transmission and Delco-Remy 430 AMP alternator.
A Hale QMAX 2,000-gpm single-stage pump with a 1,000-gallon water tank. There are five 2 ½” and three 3” discharges, plus two 2" speedlays.
The 3/16-inch extruded aluminum features over 400 cubic feet of storage, Amdor compartment doors, through-tank ladder storage, a 24-inch polished stainless steel bumper, a Federal Q2B siren, and FRC Inview Trueview cameras.
Lighting includes a Whelen Freedom IV 72-inch lightbar, FireTech 72-inch 12V brow light, 12V Spectra scene light, Whelen M9 Warning Light, Whelen M6 warning light, Whelen TAL65 traffic advisor and Whelen M9V2 warning/scene light.
The rig has a wheelbase of 197 1/2" with an overall length of 33′ 1 1/2.”
