Issue Description: The June issue of Firehouse includes feature articles on combining fire departments while keeping your volunteers, fire attack hoses, and our 2025 Valor & Community Service Awards, .

Cover Description: Minneapolis Fire Department’s Engine 16 was first in and reported heavy black smoke and fire showing from the C side of a three-story apartment building. The crew laid a tank line. Engine 14 laid a supply and backup line. Ladder 4 and Ladder 10 began to evacuate residents. Companies rescued three residents from the second and third floors by ground ladders. Command requested a second alarm and additional ambulances. Engine 6 reported the fire knocked down on the second floor and checked for extension. Dedication: Five U.S. firefighters recently died in the line of duty— Fire Chief Jeffory Buck, Firefighter Steven Lepselter, Assistant Chief Robert Schick, Firefighter William Price and Firefighter James Crews. This issue of Firehouse is dedicated to these firefighters.
